Court of Justice of EU refers case on Belgian tax exemptions granted to 55 multinationals back to General Court

The Court of Justice of the European Union has overturned a 2019 EU General Court judgment (see EUROPE B12194A29) that had itself annulled the European Commission’s 2016 decision deeming the Belgian excess profits tax scheme to be unlawful State Aid, in a judgment on Thursday 16 September (Case C-337/19).
