On Thursday 16 September, the European Commission validated the Maltese recovery plan for 316.4 million euros, solely in the form of grants, as part of the Next Generation EU Recovery Plan.
Speaking from Valletta, the President of the EU institution, Ursula von der Leyen, called the Maltese plan “one of the greenest plans received so far”, with “55%” of the package to support Malta in the move towards climate neutrality by 2050.
