European Parliament confirms new EU rules for highly skilled migrants

16/09/2021 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 15 September, the European Parliament confirmed the new rules for the entry and residence of highly skilled migrants coming to work in the EU. By 556 votes to 105 with 31 abstentions, the European Parliament validated the agreement reached with the Council of the EU by rapporteur Javier Moreno Sanchez (S&D, Spain) on the new ‘EU Blue Card’ (see EUROPE B12721A22).
