Commission extends anti-dumping duties on Chinese aluminium foil to same products from Thailand

15/09/2021 (Agence Europe) – After investigation, the European Commission found that China was circumventing its anti-dumping duties. Chinese aluminium foil producers have exported some of their production subject to anti-dumping duties from the EU to Thailand. The company then re-exported the product to the EU after minor processing, thus avoiding up to 35% of customs duties. According to the Commission, this is a circumvention by China of European anti-dumping measures. The institution therefore published an implementing Regulation on 15 September extending these duties to Thailand as well. The original Regulation was implemented in 2019.
