The European Commission announced on Tuesday 7 September the launch of a public consultation on hydrogen as a new step in the ‘Agenda Process on Green Hydrogen’.
Launched earlier this year, the ‘Agenda Process on Green Hydrogen’ is a pilot initiative of the European Research Area (ERA) that brings together scientists, industry, civil society and public administration to define a common ‘Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda’ on green hydrogen by the end of the year.
The consultation covers three “seed papers” prepared by hydrogen specialists in expert groups, dealing respectively with: (1) green hydrogen production; (2) transport and infrastructure; (3) market stimulation.
It is open until 26 September inclusive. The results will then be discussed at three thematic workshops in October 2021: transport and infrastructure (7 and 8 October), market stimulation (22 October), production (third week of October).
