20/07/2021 (Agence Europe) – According to the European Commission’s provisional calendar, the institution plans to present a series of energy and climate-related initiatives in December this year. The following are planned for 14 December: - a legislative proposal to make the measurement, reporting and verification (MRV) of all energy-related methane emissions mandatory; - the revision of the gas portion of the EU’s third ‘energy package’; - the revision of the energy performance of buildings Directive (2010/31); - a Commission Communication on “Restoring Sustainable Carbon Cycles”. According to the agenda, the institution will also present initiatives for sustainable consumption and “green mobility” on the same day.
