13/07/2021 (Agence Europe) – Eurozone finance ministers and European Union institutions continue to believe that a “favourable fiscal stance” to support the economy is appropriate for the Eurozone as a whole next year and that this fiscal support remains “sufficient at this stage”, Eurogroup President Paschal Donohoe said on Monday 12 July, for whom the March ministerial declaration remains valid (see EUROPE 12678/5). He called for “agility” in member states' fiscal and economic policy making as emergency measures gradually give way to more targeted, growth-enhancing measures as the health restrictions arising from the Covid-19 pandemic are lifted.
