Brussels, 28/06/2021 (Agence Europe) – After the Council of the European Union adopted its position at first reading on 14 June, MEPs on the European Parliament’s Committee on Transport approved the draft recommendation on the trans-European transport network (TEN-T) at second reading on Monday 28 June. This directive aims in particular to simplify the procedures for granting authorisations for cross-border projects (see EUROPE 12740/27). The text foresees that projects which are part of the pre-selected sections of the TEN-T core network be covered, as well as other projects related to the core network corridors, the total amount of which exceeds €300 million. The core network is to be completed by 2030. MEPs will debate and vote on the text on 6 July at the next plenary session. See the document: https://bit.ly/3jn8D84 (TM)
