23/06/2021 (Agence Europe) – A new public consultation, launched on Tuesday 22 June by the European Commission, will be open until 28 September and will feed into the Commission’s work on the possible revision of the EU Directive on the distance marketing of consumer financial services (2002/65/EC). The roadmap for this initiative, scheduled for the first quarter of 2022, was recently opened for comment until 25 June (see EUROPE 12732/19). The aim of the proposed revision is to update this Directive, and to remedy its limited added value. The consultation will be open until midnight, Brussels time, on 28 September.
