EU denounces junta’s proposal to dissolve Aung San Suu Kyi’s party

The spokesperson for the European External Action Service denounced, on Sunday 23 May, the statement by the chairman of Burma’s Union Election Commission that it may dissolve the National League for Democracy, the party of Aung San Suu Kyi which “overwhelmingly” won the last general elections in November of 2020 (see EUROPE B12598A6).
