07/05/2021 (Agence Europe) – Between March 2020 and March 2021, the European Consumer Centres Network (ECC-Net) received more than 70,000 queries directly related to the Covid-19 pandemic, an increase of 44% compared to the previous period. 93% of these requests concerned tourist trips (45% for air tickets, 21% for cancellations of overnight stays, 17% for complete stays). 68% of the cases raised were resolved positively through amicable settlements, resulting in total refunds of more than €4 million, according to a European Commission statement.
