The European Commission announced, on Thursday 22 April, the approval of the modification of two Cohesion Policy operational programmes (OP) under REACT-EU in favour of France and Denmark.
These two amendments increase the amounts allocated to Denmark by €123.1 million and to France by €151 million under the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). In the Danish case, the amendment will aim to give more support to companies also in the green and digital transition. In France, the modification of the ‘Rhône-Alpes OP’ will provide support to SMEs and to the health sector as well. It will support employment and labour market measures.
Several Member States have already received approval from the European Commission for REACT-EU, including Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Finland, Bulgaria, Lithuania and Austria (see EUROPE 12701/10).
On the same day, the European Commission services announced on Twitter that the European Structural and Investment Funds data platform will be updated on Wednesday 28 April to take into account the implementation of REACT-EU and the effects of the recent reprogramming of the CRII and CRII+ investment initiatives in 2020 in response to the coronavirus.
