22/04/2021 (Agence Europe) – The representative associations Airline For Europe, Airport Council International Europe and European Regions Airline Association called on the EU Heads of State or Government, in a joint letter on Wednesday 21 April, to redouble their efforts to ensure that Digital Green Certificates are issued by the end of June. At a time when the airline industry is among the most affected by the pandemic, this tool to facilitate travel for Europeans by proving that they have been vaccinated or that they have a negative PCR test or post-infection immunity was presented by the European Commission in March (see EUROPE 12698/3). On 14 April, the Member States adopted their negotiating position (see EUROPE 12680/1) with the Parliament, which is due to vote at the end of April. (TM)
