08/04/2021 (Agence Europe) – A public consultation is underway, until 27 April, on a draft European Commission Regulation that will update the list of pesticide active substances that must be subject to European statistics on their sales and use. This Regulation will amend Regulation 1185/2009 of the European Parliament and of the EU Council establishing a framework for the provision of comparable European statistics. The Commission is required to update this list regularly and at least every five years. The last adaptation of this list was in 2017. The new Regulation will cover the period 2021-2024. All interested parties are invited to give feedback by midnight Brussels time on 27 April. This feedback will be taken into account in finalising the Commission’s initiative.
