04/03/2021 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission launched a consultation on Thursday 4 March to update and reform the recommendations to Member States on the supervision of professional services. In 2017, the institution had presented recommendations on national reforms in the area of professional services (legal services, accounting, architecture, engineering, patent attorneys, tour guides and real estate agents). This initiative updates these recommendations to take into account the evolution of the market since 2017. It will cover the same professions, plus notaries, the institution says.
