Five child protection organisations submit report to European Commission in preparation for new EU strategy on rights of the child

24/02/2021 (Agence Europe) – At the request of the European Commission, and with a view to preparing the new EU strategy on the Rights of the Child 2021–2024, five organisations (ChildFund Alliance, Eurochild, Save the Children, UNICEF and World Vision) presented a survey on Tuesday 23 February with responses from more than 10,000 children. The results are worrying: one in ten children surveyed present with psychological disorders (depression and anxiety), a third of them suffer from discrimination, which is at a figure of up to 50% for those with a disability or who belong to an identified minority.
