US ‘FATCA’ law remains on EU Council agenda

24/02/2021 (Agence Europe) – After having been discussed at the Ecofin Council of 16 February (see EUROPE B12659A2), the tax and banking obligations that weigh on the “Accidental Americans”, under the American ‘FATCA’ (Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act), remain on the agenda of the Council of the EU.
