Euromed Rights calls for partnership with EU's southern neighbourhood to promote human rights

08/02/2021 (Agence Europe) – On the eve of the expected publication by the European Commission and the European External Action Service of a joint communication on a renewed partnership for the Southern neighbourhood, the non-governmental organisation EuroMed Rights presented a parallel communication highlighting human rights. According to the NGO, the partnership should focus on economic and social rights for all, gender equality and women's rights on both sides of the Mediterranean, the rights of migrants and refugees, an enabling environment for civil society in the region, and how to engage meaningfully with independent civil society organisations. See the EuroMed Rights Communication: https://bit.ly/3q6Cq5K (CG)
