Presidency of COP26 presents its priorities in terms of public finances

11/01/2021 (Agence Europe)The Presidency of COP26, to be held in Glasgow from 1-12 November, published its 11 priorities for public finances on Friday 8 January. They concern: the quantity and predictability of climate finance; the role of multilateral development banks, public development banks and development finance institutions; implementation through multilateral climate funds; mobilising private climate finance; wider fiscal challenges; allocation of finance—in particular grants—to the poorest and most vulnerable; access to climate finance; finance for adaptation and resilience; finance for nature and nature-based solutions; coherent approach to climate impacts; and improving the gender-responsiveness of climate finance.
