11/01/2021 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 11 January, the European Commission authorised Croatian State aid of €202 million to support the sport and tourism sectors, which have come to a standstill due to the coronavirus pandemic, until 30 June 2021. The aid will be granted in the form of guarantees on new working capital loans, investment loans, and subsidised interest rates for new loans. Applying the Temporary Framework for State aid measures, the Commission noted that the aid in the form of subsidised interest rates will not exceed €800,000 per company. The same applies to aid in the form of guarantees on new working capital loans. In addition, these loans will have a maximum duration of six years. And the guarantee coverage is limited to 90% of the principal loan, or 35% in the case of first loss guarantees. (Original version in French by Lionel Changeur)
