European Commission approves State guarantee for funding LNG terminal in Cyprus

08/12/2020 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 8 December, the European Commission approved a Cypriot measure to issue a state guarantee to secure loans to support the construction of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in Vasilikos Bay, Cyprus. The Commission felt that construction of the LNG terminal will contribute to market integration, as it will enable Cyprus to connect to trans-European gas networks.
