06/11/2020 (Agence Europe) – The videoconference meeting of Ministers for European Affairs, originally scheduled for Tuesday 10 November, has been postponed to 17 November. The German Presidency of the EU Council decided on this one-week postponement because German State Secretary for European Affairs Michael Roth had to go into quarantine after coming into contact with a person who tested positive for Covid-19 during a meeting with his European counterparts, a Presidency spokesperson said on Twitter on Friday 6 November. This meeting of the General Affairs Council is expected to discuss the situation regarding the Rule of law in the EU, the state of play of the enlargement process with regard to Albania and North Macedonia, as well as the state of play of the negotiations on the Multiannual Financial Framework for the period 2021-2027.
