20/10/2020 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 15 October, Eurospace, which represents the European space sector, published a manifesto for a resilient satellite system for secure connectivity. In response to the aim announced recently by the European Commission and the European Council (see EUROPE 12571/15) to provide a secure high-speed communication network (5G and 6G) throughout the EU, Eurospace is rolling out a programmatic approach between 2021 and 2027 on quantum computers, using GovSatCom and EuroCQI. The aim is to guarantee the EU and both the public and private sector in the EU the same autonomy as they enjoy in geolocation (Galileo) and earth observation (Copernicus).
