20/10/2020 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday, 20 October, SMEunited published a document compiling a series of recommendations to improve enforcement and implementation of internal market rules in relation to the March proposal (see EUROPE 12443/7). The European organisation, which represents the interests of SMEs, is thus calling on the European Commission to submit specific directives to national authorities, notably with updated guidelines for the ‘Services’ Directive, public procurement, and professional services. It also calls for better use to be made of existing instruments, specifically the ‘Enterprise Europe Network’ (EEN) and SOLVIT, a tool for resolving disputes between economic operators. In addition, it supports the development of digital systems to ensure product labelling and traceability. To read the recommendations: https://bit.ly/3dHXuK6 (PH)
