Several EU countries exceeded their fishing quotas in 2019

03/09/2020 (Agence Europe) – A regulation published on Thursday 3 September in the Official Journal of the EU addresses the rule that when a Member State has exceeded the fishing quotas allocated to it, the European Commission makes deductions from the Member State’s future fishing quotas. The Commission makes these deductions by applying ‘multiplier coefficients’. Some Member States (Germany, Denmark, Spain, France, United Kingdom, the Netherlands, etc.) have exceeded their 2019...
