Commission approves €100 million for reconstruction of country

On Friday 17 July, the European Commission approved a €100 million package to support rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts in Albania following the November 2019 earthquake.

The funds will help with the rehabilitation and reconstruction of educational facilities, including furniture and equipment, to enable children and young people to return to school in better conditions and with better facilities, the Commission said in a statement.
