Presidency is of interest to Spain

15/06/2020 (Agence Europe) – The Spanish Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, indicated that "the Spanish Government would logically be very interested in this kind of responsibility", on Sunday 14 June, speaking to the press, referring to the possibility that the Spanish Finance Minister, Nadia Calviño, could chair the Eurogroup, the informal body of Finance Ministers of the euro area. The deadline for applications is Thursday 25 June (see EUROPE B12505A14). (MB)
