European Parliament to decide in June regarding return to free movement within Schengen area

MEPs are expected to take a position at their June plenary session on the state of the Schengen free movement area and the end of internal border controls re-established due to Covid-19.

A draft resolution to this effect will be presented as early as 18 May, Tanja Fajon (S&D, Slovenia) said on Tuesday, 12 May, during an exchange of views with the European Commission and the Croatian EU Council Presidency in the Committee on Civil Liberties .
