09/04/2020 (Agence Europe) – On the evening of Wednesday, 8 April, the Danish Permanent Representation to the EU announced that Denmark has delivered a field hospital and ventilators to Italy, increasing the assistance provided to the country most affected by COVID-19. The Danish authorities have also made a financial contribution to the Italian Red Cross and are in contact with the Italian authorities so as to provide further assistance. This bilateral assistance supplements the two teams of doctors and nurses from Romania and Norway that were deployed via the EU Civil Protection Mechanism to assist Italian medical personnel in fighting the coronavirus (see EUROPE 12463/5).
