Geothermal industry advocates creation of an internal heat market

The European Geothermal Energy Council (EGEC) called on the European Commission to create an internal European heat market on Tuesday 7 April in an open letter published on its website.

“The internal market for heat would unleash much needed investments in employment-rich renewable energy sources, while addressing the economic crisis”, said Philippe Dumas, the organisation’s Secretary General.
