EU livestock farmers call on Commission to take urgent action

EU organisations and cooperatives (Copa-Cogeca) asked the European Commission on Tuesday 7 April to take urgent action to support several agricultural sectors affected by the consequences of the coronavirus crisis.

Copa-Cogeca has collected data from its members showing the impact of the crisis on the milk and dairy, cattle, sheep and goat sectors.

Several letters have been sent to the Commission requesting that specific measures (exceptional measures, private storage, tariff quotas, etc.)...
