27/02/2020 (Agence Europe) – The Commissioner for Enlargement, Olivér Várhelyi, announced on Thursday 27 February that the Slovak Foreign Minister, Miroslav Lajčák, will indeed be the EU Special Representative for the dialogue between Serbia and Kosovo and the Western Balkans (see EUROPE 12431/5). "Knowing Mr Lajčák and his achievements, I think he is a very good choice that could help the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and myself to move things forward", he told Radio Free Europe on the margins of the meeting of the Visegrad and Western Balkan countries in Prague (EUROPE will come back to this). "I think we will be a very good team", the Commissioner added, adding that he had already met the High Representative's "nominee". (CG)
