27/02/2020 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 27 February, Teresa Czerwińska was appointed Vice-President and member of the Management Committee of the European Investment Bank (EIB), the body responsible for supervising the day-to-day management of the EIB and for preparing and implementing the decisions of the Board of Directors. She said she was “honoured” to join the EIB “at a pivotal moment for the institution”. Since 2019, Mrs Czerwińska, Professor of Economics at Warsaw University, specialising in finance and risk management, has been a member of the Board of Directors of the National Bank of Poland. Minister of Finance between January 2018 and June 2019, she was also a member of the EIB’s Board of Governors. She will take up her position on the Management Committee on 1 March. (AC)
