Cancellation of meeting between European Parliament delegation and Belarusian MEPs

27/02/2020 (Agence Europe) – A European Parliament delegation that is currently in Belarus cancelled a meeting with Belarusian MEPs on Wednesday 26 February because the meeting could not take place in the format agreed in advance. According to information we have received, the European Parliament does not want anyone to attend the Belarusian parliament, as the country has not yet been able to hold elections in accordance with internationally recognised democratic standards.
