29/01/2020 (Agence Europe) – Negotiators from the European Parliament and the Council of the EU held their first interinstitutional negotiation meeting on Tuesday 28 January on the proposal for a regulation establishing a single resolution and recovery framework for authorized central clearing houses (CCPs) in the EU. According to a European source, no substantial conclusions emerged from this first meeting, which above all enabled the co-legislators to present their respective positions. The next ‘trilogue’, scheduled for Tuesday 11 February in Strasbourg, should aim to identify the real sticking points between them, the source said.
