Erasmus as popular as ever

28/01/2020 (Agence Europe)The success of the Erasmus + programme is not dwindling. The new annual report, published on 28 January, shows that this programme for education, training, youth and sport continues to benefit many Europeans. In 2018, the programme promoted the mobility of more than 850,000 students, apprentices, teachers and socio-educational facilitators. In addition to university students and staff, Erasmus+ has supported 40,000 teachers and school staff, 148,000 vocational education and training learners, 8,400 adult education staff and 155,000 young people and youth workers. A lesser-known aspect of the programme, sport is not to be outdone, with 199 sports projects, 118 of which are run by local sports organisations, having been funded by the programme. (SPj)
