20/01/2020 (Agence Europe) – The High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, and India's Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh, have agreed to launch a dialogue on security and defence issues between India and the EU, the European External Action Service announced on 17 January. During their meeting in India, Mr Borrell and Mr Singh discussed maritime security and recent EU defence initiatives. Together with the National Security Adviser to the Indian Prime Minister, Ajit Kumar Doval, Mr Borrell discussed the security aspects of India-EU relations, in particular on issues of common interest, such as the fight against terrorism and cyber security.
