Cristian-Silviu Buşoi to chair European Parliament's Industry, Research and Energy Committee

05/12/2019 (Agence Europe) – As expected (see EUROPE 12381/25), the Romanian MEP Cristian-Silviu Buşoi (EPP) was elected chairman of the Industry, Research and Energy Committee (ITRE) by acclamation by the MEPs comprising the committee on Wednesday 4 December. He will replace his compatriot Adina-Ioana Vălean (EPP), who left for the post of European Commissioner for Transport (see EUROPE 12369/3). (PH)
