04/12/2019 (Agence Europe) – Interinstitutional negotiations (trilogue) between the European Parliament and the EU Council on the Common Provisions Regulation between the Structural and Investment Funds, which were initially scheduled to take place on Wednesday 4 December, were postponed until the last minute on Tuesday evening, 3 December. It was expected that this meeting would be concluded in view of the recent progress made (see EUROPE 12379/6). However, the compromise is not yet entirely mature. The co-rapporteurs and the Finnish Presidency of the Council of the EU are reported to have divergent views on the outcome of the last negotiating session. A new meeting is expected to be held next week. (PH)
