29/11/2019 (Agence Europe) – While the Iranian nuclear agreement seems to be increasingly on hold, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Sweden and Norway have announced that they will participate in the trade support mechanism with Iran. “In light of the continuous European support for the agreement and the ongoing efforts to implement the economic part of it and to facilitate legitimate trade between Europe and Iran, we are now in the process of becoming shareholders of the Instrument in Support of Trade Exchanges (INSTEX) subject to completion of national procedures”, they announced in a statement. By the end of June 2019, seven countries, including Belgium, Finland, the Netherlands and Sweden, had announced that they were working with E3 (Germany, France and the United Kingdom) on the establishment of INSTEX (see EUROPE 12286/7).
