The European Commission announced on 13 August that it had opened an anti-dumping investigation into imports of hot-rolled stainless steel sheets and coils from China, Indonesia and Taiwan.
The investigation follows a complaint lodged by the European Steel Association (EUROFER) that imports from these countries are being dumped and are thus causing injury to European producers.
