Use of protected work in news report does not, in principle, require author's prior authorisation according to Court of Justice

The EU Court of Justice ruled on Monday 29 July in Case C-516/17 (Spiegel Online/Volker Beck) that the use of a protected work in a news report does not, in principle, require the author's prior authorisation.
