Belgium is required to pay 926,000 euros in customs duties to EU budget

The European Commission decided on Thursday 25 July to send a reasoned opinion to Belgium for non-payment of customs duties to the EU budget, as required by EU law.

The Commission took this decision after the Belgian authorities failed to recover customs duties due by a company that did not honour its payment after being declared bankrupt.
