Belgrade opens chapter of EU accession negotiations on financial services

On Thursday 27 June, Serbia opened a new chapter in the EU accession negotiations. The new one is Chapter 9, on financial services.

“This is a crucial step”, said the Commissioner for Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn, to the press, stressing the importance of good financial services regulations to ensure macro-financial stability and economic development.
