24/06/2019 (Agence Europe)The Finnish city of Lahti was presented with the European Commission's European Green Capital Award for 2021 on Friday 21 June. The city, with the "unanimous" support of the jury, won the award against Strasbourg and Lille, both French. Lahthi has received 350,000 euros for its actions regarding the greening of the local economy, air quality and waste management.
