Regulation on increased transparency of risk assessments by EFSA is adopted

13/06/2019 (Agence Europe) – The regulation that will ensure greater transparency and sustainability of scientific risk assessments in the food chain – carried out by EFSA for substances such as pesticides and food additives – was formally adopted by the EU Council on Thursday 13 June.  This revised version of the EU's General Food Law had been the subject of an interinstitutional agreement in February (see EUROPE B12192A19).
