Annulment of a Commission decision ordering Spain to recover €18.4 million from Real Madrid

On Wednesday 22 May, the General Court annulled the European Commission's decision of July 2016 requesting the Spanish State to recover €18.4 million from the Real Madrid football club, an amount considered by the latter to be illegal State aid (see EUROPE B11586A6).
