In absence of an analysis of hazardousness of a waste, its professional holder must classify it as a hazardous waste

The judges of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) ruled on Thursday 28 March in Joined Cases C-487/17, C-488/17 and C-489/17 that if it is impossible to analyse the hazardousness of a waste, the professional holder of such a waste must classify it as dangerous under the precautionary principle.
