27/02/2019 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 27 February, the Member States' ambassadors to the European Union ('Coreper') approved two interinstitutional agreements in the field of transport. The first, on the measures that the European Union could take in air transport to counter certain consequences of a potential exit from the United Kingdom without agreement (Brexit) was obtained by representatives of the European Parliament and the Romanian Presidency of the Council of the EU on 19 February last (see EUROPE 12198). The second, on the revision of the Directive (2008/96/EC) on road infrastructure safety management, dates from Thursday 21 February (see EUROPE 12199). The European Parliament and the EU Council must now give the formal green light to both texts. (LT)
