27/02/2019 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 27 February, the Committee of Permanent Representatives of the Governments of the Member States to the European Union (Coreper) are expected to reach political agreement on new rules to facilitate the listing of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and their access to “SMEs Growth markets”, a new category of trading platform specialised in small operators (see EUROPE 12026). The main features of the compromise text were presented in EUROPE 12202. It also provides for a simplified administrative burden and a “streamlined” prospectus for SMEs already listed on a growth market for at least three years, in the event of a transfer to a regulated market. Interinstitutional negotiations with the European Parliament, which adopted its position on 7 December 2018, will now be able to begin. The first 'trilogue' is scheduled for 6 March. (MF)
